The One Where I Make a Confession
Hi, my name is Jaime Linder, I’m a stay at home mom and I have a housekeeper. I know, it sounds like I’m completely spoiled and lazy. I admit, I am very blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom. Even more blessed that I am able to have a housekeeper. But before judgments are made about my work ethic, I would like to explain.
I haven’t always had a housekeeper. This is a fairly new development. I have tried to maintain a relatively clean, organized home. Tried being the key word there. I live with 7 males for the Love!
True story…once as I was mopping the floor, number 4, who was potty training, took off his diaper, and went number 2…on the FLOOR! That I had just mopped!! So yes, I quit. Not entirely quit, but it’s like brushing your teeth while eating Oreo’s.
We moved…I hired a housekeeper. And I LOVE her! She doesn’t come every week, just enough so that I feel sane. Twice a month, I get to come home and see all the beds made, toilets clean, etc. and I didn’t have to do it!
I do clean between visits on my own, but I’m not so grumpy about it because I know that I will get a break. And by clean, I mean quickly wipe everything down with my awesome Norwex cloths( super easy and no chemicals!) I scrub the bathrooms ( because I live with boys) and mop. I’m not COMPLETELY lazy…just every other week!
Again, I realize how blessed I am, and maybe a bit lazy for being a stay at home mom with a housekeeper. But don’t I deserve someone to take care of me twice a month since most of my time is spent taking care of little people? So no judging!!
